Why ‘Get Active’?

At the Bedford College Group, we want all of our students to have the opportunity to develop their physical wellbeing.

Physical activity is beneficial for our body and mind- it can help us reduce stress, manage weight, improve our mood, reduce risks of diseases and sleep better.

Keeping active

You may already get in the recommended moderate exercise (150 mins per week) or you may be looking for ways to reach this. You may find it useful to find an activity you enjoy or to build movement into your routine, for example taking the stairs, standing where you can, parking further away etc.

If you’re looking to be more active, why not join a college gym

College activities

The college has many enrichment activities to get you active for students and staff of all abilities.

You could join one of our Lunchtime sports groups or use our physical activity facilities such as table tennis etc.
