Why Connect?
Giving time and space to strengthen our existing relationships and extend to new social relationships is important for our wellbeing. It can help us to have a sense of belonging, share experiences and build our support network.
At the Bedford College Group, we have a wide range of Enrichment activities to support you to connect with other students and staff around the college.
These may be arranged by your department, or by our LIVE Team, who always have activities planned.

- Peer Educators
We have begun our first ‘Peer Educators’ programme, where students have volunteered to be trained to teach aspects of mental wellbeing to their peers.
Keep in touch
There are lots of ways to connect or reconnect with people, for example through:
- Social media – View our social channels
- Text, calls, postcards etc.
Some ideas for connecting with people:
- arrange a catch up with friends you haven’t seen for a while
- call a friend- it’s nice to chat rather than messaging sometimes
- speak to someone new- maybe strike up a conversation whilst out shopping etc.
