Baker Tilly, Ernst & Young, Grant Thornton, KPMG, Mazers and PwC offer school and college leavers opportunities to gain professional qualifications such as AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) or ATT (Association of Tax Technicians) whilst earning a competitive salary and gaining invaluable work experience.  Vacancies locally can include Milton Keynes and Cambridge as well as London.

  The Concord Management Development Programme is designed to enhance knowledge and provide trainees with good all-round operational experience across varying types of hotel environment. The two-year programme is endorsed by the Institute of Hospitality. Trainees work across four member hotels, spending approximately six months in each and gain valuable experience in all areas of hotel operations. A competitive salary is offered including accommodation. 

Edge Hotel School - offers a two year fast track degree programme during which you will study for 45 weeks of the year and gain valuable hands-on experience working shifts across all departments of this living working hotel.  This will include restaurant, kitchens, housekeeping, front of house and event organising. There are three annual intakes for the Hotel Management Degree, please visit their website for more information. 


  Each year the Botanic Garden offers six posistions on its Trainee Technician Scheme, the Cambridge Certificate in Practical Horticulture and Plantmanship.  The Certificate is an open entry scheme aimed at those wishing to pursue a career in horticulture by gaining practical horticultural experience.  The Certificate runs for one year and starts at the beginning of September. Sentry Farms - Trainee Farm Managers - Sentry offer a two year training programme where trainees work on a farm as part of the team throughout the programme.

Outdoor Ed and Sport

    Trainee Activity Instructor Programme - Grafham Water Centre is a well known LEA Outdoor Education Centre in Cambridgeshire and has over 40 year of teaching experience which makes us an ideal place to learn, train and have the potential to become an all rounded qualified instructor with a good understanding of outdoor education. 
    The Leap for Success Scholarship is for those who are looking at starting their career in the watersports industry and want to up-skill and become qualified RYA Instructors.
    Trekco Trainee Scheme - To join the trainee scheme you will need to have some outdoor experience. Candidates will be invited to Sussex in December/January for a selection day and to find out more about the company. For further information please click here.
